When Jamie becomes pregnant, their relationship is torn apart by their families, both unwilling to allow their children to marry outside their religion.

After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War, Ernie returns determined to reclaim the life he once dreamed of. Reuniting with Jamie, he sweeps her away to begin a new life together with their daughter. But their quiet hopes for the future are soon upended when a chance encounter with the "Prince of Griffin Park" thrusts Ernie into events that reach far beyond anything he ever imagined.

About the Author
Ray Kelsing spent his youth serving in the Merchant Marine before embarking on a distinguished career in public service. He dedicated 21 years to law enforcement and also served in the United States Navy for 20 years, primarily as a reservist, including two years of active duty. Kelsing retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
