TravelWorm/JetAway Names Benjamin Rafter President, CEO

(PRLEAP.COM) TravelWorm Inc., a nationwide online supplier of travel and leisure reservation services, through its www.jetway.com and www.travelworm.com brands, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Rafter as President and Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Rafter will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, expanding its key packaging and vacation channels, and enhancing its supplier relationships.

Rafter brings with him an impressive background in the online travel industry. Prior to joining TravelWorm, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Get2Hawaii™, an online aggregator and distributor of travel inventory. During his tenure at Get2Hawaii, Rafter restructured the company and its strategy, and subsequently grew the Honolulu-based operation from a few hundred bookings per month to over one hundred thousand vacations sold in 2005.

Rafter has also served as Director for Cambridge Technology Partners’ Innovation Center and NewCo Solutions practices. In that role, he managed practice operations and was responsible for major business development activities.

In 1996, Rafter and two partners founded a successful startup, LiveBid. Livebid’s real-time auction model was the recognized leader in the space, and prior to it being acquired it hosted several famous auctions, including the sale of the Batmobile, O.J. Simpson’s Brentwood estate, and Titanic artifacts.
