New Satellite Receiver From General Satellite Corp.

General Satellite Corp. (http://www.general-satellite.com) is glad to announce the release of its new digital satellite receiver FTA-7001S.

New model is designed for viewing free-to-air satellite TV channels in digital format DVB-S.
The receiver has the entire functionality of the previous model GS FTA-6900 and at the same time has been considerably improved. In particular, new model supports the DiSEqC 1.0/1.2 protocols for the 4-positions switch and DiSEqC positioner operation, has a built-in teletext decoder, shows all kinds of subtitles, supports weekly TV guide and allows to store up to 5,000 TV and radio channels.

The receiver software was essentially updated. Screen menu got a new graphic design and thus became more detailed and user-friendly. Appearance of the new receiver was also improved and the device became more compact.

In March 2005. General Satellite Corp. is planning to deliver the new release of the digital receiver with a Common Interface socket (socket for the Conditional Access Modules).
