The inspiration to create a networking group for health and elder care professionals (World Wide) is based on Thomas Friedman’s bestseller, 'The World is Flat'.

“ The World Wide Networking Online (WWNO) group is modeled after many of the insights within Friedman’s book,’ states Barbara Mascio, co-founder. ‘The Internet has made it possible for all of us to work together, help one another, learn from one another and prosper because of our ability to connect through our computers.”

Online networking within professional business groups has been extremely beneficial to many business executives across the world thanks to the Internet. WWNO is specific and targeted exclusively for the health and elder care industry and for those businesses that cater to the senior citizen.

Launching officially on April the 1st with a handful of charter members, owners of the group, Richard and Barbara Mascio are poised for success. Barbara is in the elder care field and after extensive research of existing network models, both online and standard local networking groups, both feel they’ve created a unique and purposeful meeting place.

There are distinct differences in this online networking group. Membership must first be approved. This group invites professionals within a variety of industries however each business within the networking group is one with a target audience of senior citizens, family caregivers, or a business that offers services directed at this industry.

WWNO allows for industry specific cells within the network. This provides (as an example) all home care companies (or all handyman services, financial planners, elder-law attorneys, staffing and background checks, software companies, etc.) to be organized in a manner that allows each a voice within the group, scheduling educational and promotional events or online conferencing.

The web site is designed for both the technically proficient and those that are not. “We wanted this to be a great place to meet other professionals within the industry of serving and selling to seniors. You should be able to meet and communicate with others in this field for advice, to ask for and receive referrals, to receive the latest news and updates affecting elder care and to learn about the various services from businesses that offer support for our industry. If you can use email, you can do this,” states co-founder, Barbara Mascio.

Members can promote their business to other professionals within the network. Each can also promote directly to the public on the Health and Elder Care Resource Page. B2B offers can be viewed on the Elder Care Industry page. It is, in the world of networking, the best of both worlds.
