POMONA, CA. (PR Leap) April 7, 2006 — Auto-Graphics, Inc. (AUGR.PK), a technology innovator providing library automation solutions for over 35 years, today announced that the Mississippi Library Commission, led by the Washington County Library System as contracting agent, has selected the company’s AGent VERSO™ ILS system to provide a robust automation solution for eight of the state’s rural library systems. These libraries – which include Carroll County Public Library System, Greenwood-Leflore Public Library, Humphreys County Library System, Kemper-Newton Regional Library System, Marks-Quitman County Library, Noxubee County Library, Tallahatchie County Library, and the Washington County Library System – represent the last remaining public libraries to be automated in the state of Mississippi. The libraries opted for Auto-Graphics’ ASP hosted license service with full system support, maintenance, and updates, allowing them to focus on serving patrons without the cost or complexity of addressing technical support issues.

“We selected Auto-Graphics because of its willingness and ability to address the unique requirements of our libraries attempting to automate systems for the first time,” commented Kay Clanton, director of the Washington County Library System. “The company’s ASP hosted license model, coupled with its shelf list conversion and record creation services, makes Auto-Graphics a truly invaluable partner for this important project.”

The AGent VERSO implementation will integrate seamlessly with all products in Auto-Graphics’ Agent™ library automation platform, including Mississippi’s existing AGent Resource Sharing™ interlibrary loan system. The complete, integrated solution includes use of the AGent MARCit™ database – consisting of over 20 million quality MARC records, including the Library of Congress databases and many other cataloging resources – and AGent Search™, a powerful federated search tool for simultaneously searching the AGent VERSO OPAC along with other libraries’ Z39.50 targets.

“We are thrilled to offer AGent VERSO to the libraries in Mississippi, and are pleased that this sale leverages the earlier investment that the Mississippi Library Commission has made with Auto-Graphics’ hosted services for a statewide resource sharing system,” said Paul Cope, president of Auto-Graphics. “We see this expansion as a natural progression for rural libraries that want to leverage state investments, while removing themselves from the complex issues of IT management.”
