Local Candle Company Supports Local Breast Cancer Patients. 

(PRLEAP.COM) Springfield, MO  — Lighting the way to support local families affected by breast cancer, Natural Light Candle Co.  will offer its 16 oz Breast Cancer candle for the second consecutive year.  Natural Light Candle Co. will donate $7 of the purchase price (less tax) from sales of the $16 candle to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO). This year’s candle is different from the previous year.  The candle scent for 2006 is Chic Pink.  A creamy vanilla blend with honey and musk. Owner Day  Curtiss made the decision to offer this candle year-round, not just during breast cancer awareness month. "We decided to donate proceeds from this candle year-round, because breast cancer doesn’t limit itself to one month of the calendar. Women are diagnosed and treated every day." 
According to the National Breast Cancer Coalition, more women in the United States are living with breast cancer than any other cancer (excluding skin cancer). Approximately 3 million women in the U.S. are living with breast cancer: slightly over 2 million have been diagnosed with the disease and an estimated 1 million who do not yet know they have the disease. The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) is the only local organization that provides financial assistance for individuals with breast cancer and their families.
