Chicago, IL—April 12, 2006—To help the church deal with the reality of teen mothers, TastyFaith.com has created a new resource called Life After Birth—Bible Studies and Encouragement for the Teen Mom. This teen friendly resource deals with issues such as shame, forgiveness, loneliness as well as planning for the future. It is great for one on one mentoring, outreach as well as personal use.
Author Ginger Sinsabaugh MacDonald, has been a volunteer urban youth worker for over 20 years at various Christian organizations in Chicago. She realized that once a teen has a baby, she usually dropped out of her outreach program as well as high school. “The church needs to reach out and hang onto these girls at this point of their lives, to keep the from being trapped in the cycle of poverty. If they choose life, we need to offer them more than a used car seat.”
Life After Birth is just one of the resources TastyFaith.com has for youth ministry. It is great for girls from all backgrounds, from the small town to the inner-city. A free excerpt of Life After Birth can be downloaded at TastyFaith.com.
The website also has resources dealing with topics such as broken homes, blended families, gangs, STDs, and other tough issues traditional Christian publishers may not address. TastyFaith.com was created in 2002 and is located in Chicago.
