(Orangeburg, NY) — Now parents and teachers have a choice for music for their children when they outgrow the kiddie stuff, but are still too young for mainstream pop music.

The Uncle Brothers, a New York metro area family and kids music duo, have released two brand new CDs: “Monkey’s Uncle” and “Songs For Schools: Positive Choices”. Consisting of Danny Quinn and Tom Gardner (uncles yes, to other people; brothers yes, but not to each other), the Uncle Brothers combine humor and fun in a parent friendly package. "I loved watching the Uncle Brothers and you will too. The kids were totally involved, had a great time, and learned meaningful things as well!" Bob McGrath from Sesame Street writes.

“Some of our songs have messages, which we perform at schools, and some of our music is just fun,” Danny explains. “Performing for children is a special responsibility and we find that way too often artists default to kids music because their rock careers didn’t work out. We chose to be doing this and we love what we’re doing every second we are on stage.”

Danny Quinn has toured with Irish legend Tommy Makem (The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem) and has shared the stage with other renowned artists such as John Prine, The Wolftones, The Clancy Brothers, Tom Chapin, David Bromberg, Peter Yarrow, Cherish The Ladies, David Mallet, and many others. He has been featured on "CBS The Morning Show" and "The Joe Franklin Show" as well as dozens of radio programs.

Tom Gardner joined Danny to form The Uncle Brothers in 1998 after co-writing several
tracks on Danny's "Don't Miss The Boat" CD for children. He has been a singer and song
writer for many years, but really found his niche after The Uncle Brothers were born,
writing dozens of songs both with Danny and solo.

“Our music transcends generations,” Tom says. “Children, parents, and even grandparents seem to love what we do. We put strong messages in many of our songs that parents and teachers appreciate. Messages like staying off of drugs and cigarettes, respecting yourself and others, tolerance, acceptance, and others.”

Uncle Brothers’ shows are interactive and lively. Most of all, their original songs reflect their strength as songwriters is what sets the duo apart. Their style of humor is being described as 'Jimmy Buffett meets The Smothers Brothers'

"I cannot compliment The Uncle Brothers enough for doing something special and through their music bringing these positive messages to the world," Larry Harmon “Bozo The Clown” says.
