Leading Content Aggregator for ESL/EFL Starts Podcasting
(
PRLEAP.COM) ESL MiniConference Online Starts Podcasting
Robb Scott, Editor of the ESL MiniConference Online (
http://www.ESLminiconf.net), announced today that popular articles from the newsletter are being made available as podcasts. "We are using Odeo.com to generate audio files that can be accessed via a Web interface or by RSS feed," said Scott, who founded the ESL MiniConference four years ago.
The ESL MiniConference Online was established in 2002 to provide an efficient way for ESL professionals to make a difference in the trends and issues of the rapidly developing field of English as a Second Language.
"The ESL MiniConference newsletter gives a voice to busy teachers and administrators who otherwise might not find time to get the word out regarding a great lesson plan, team project or local workshop," explained Scott. "There is so much new knowledge being produced every day in ESL that traditional conferences—while crucial—are not enough."
"Podcasts are a natural development for the ESL MiniConference," said Scott, "because their portability means teachers around the world can download our content to listen to at their convenience."
