BEND, OR – High Desert Naturals, Inc., designer and manufacturer of bed and bath collections made with 100% organic cotton, will exhibit at the 2006 All Things Organic show, May 7-9, 2006 in Chicago, IL. For more information on the hottest home textile collection during the All Things Organic trade show, stop by Booth #965, the Corner Store or the New Product Showcase to see how HDN is re-defining comfort.

“HDN is particularly excited about the All Things Organic show this year because it is our chance to introduce our bed and bath line to other organic community members, including organic food buyers. This is our chance to educate the organic food buyers about the benefits of organic home textiles and how to incorporate such non-food products into their stores,” states Jennifer Calderazzo, Sales & Marketing for HDN.

According to the Organic Trade Association's 2004 Manufacturer Survey, US organic fiber sales in 2003 grew by 22.7 percent over the previous year, to reach $85 million. Of this growth, sales of organic sheets and towels grew by 17.9 percent. Participants in the survey also predicted that U.S. sales of organic fiber would grow an average of 15.5 percent each year for 2004 through 2008.

As a result, HDN is seeing an increasing number of natural food stores interested in all natural and organic home and bath products. Even with this interest, these stores still tend to struggle with how to incorporate textiles into their environments and merchandise them successfully.

That is why HDN is particularly excited about having their products showcased in the Corner Store at the All Things Organic trade show. Peter Millard, a renowned retail designer whose clients include Ralph Lauren, Armani, and Chanel, is designing the Corner Store to help food buyers understand how to effectively merchandise non-food products in their stores. “We look forward to the insight Peter and his design will provide food buyers at this year’s show”, says Calderazzo.

Inspired from their work in the organic apparel industry, the founders of High Desert Naturals, Inc., designed their own line of bed sheets, duvet covers, shams and shower curtains made with 100% organic cotton. HDN’s design philosophy is strongly focused on color and prints, which have been largely lacking in organic home textiles. HDN offers wholesale and private label services to the organic textile industry. For more information, log on to www.hdndesigns.com.
