Compliance professionals representing the world’s leading financial institutions met last month to discuss ongoing concerns regarding regulatory evolution, industry direction and risk & compliance best practices. All were attendees at the 2006 Mantas User Group meetings held here in New York City.

Mantas, Inc., the leading provider of operational transparency solutions to the financial services market, hosted the meetings as part of its ongoing relationship with its clients. Several sessions featured clients as presenters and were open and fostered innovative approaches in terms of surveillance from the largest global institutions to smaller regional firms. In addition, Mantas held product sessions focused on regulatory compliance and loss prevention, enhancements and future functionality.

“Mantas has a long-established and unique reputation for working in partnership with its customers,” said Stephen Epstein, vice president product management, Mantas. “Our User Group Meetings are built to foster those partnerships and to encourage real, open dialogue between Mantas, our customers, and firms themselves.”

“We’ve been able to establish a cooperative and collaborative effort not only between our firm and Mantas, but with other attendees as well,” said Markus Schulz, Chief Operating Officer Group Compliance AML, ABN AMRO Bank. “This year’s user group meeting allowed the participants to leverage a wealth of knowledge across the participants - fuelling developments to continuously improve the Financial Industry's money laundering detection efforts."
