LABELVIEW TO DISCONTINUE UPGRADE

April 22, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Labelling software giant “Labelview” are to discontinue upgrades from versions 5 and 6 of their popular label and barcode printing software package, leaving the majority of users little choice but to purchase the very latest version of the software.

Current users of versions 5 and 6 are, for a short period only, able to purchase upgrades to Labelview 8 before they are discontinued. The cost of upgrading from 5 or 6 is considerably cheaper than purchasing version 8 which will shortly be the only choice available.

The decision comes as operating system compatibility becomes an increasingly problematic issue whilst also preparing users for the impending arrival of the latest Microsoft Operating System.

The upgrade from versions 5 and 6 to version 8 delivers a significant increase in functionality, fixes and corrections and a whole host of new printer drivers. Some of the most noticeable improvements included within the upgrade to version 8 are:

- Updated interface
- RFID label printing
- New barcodes
- Rich text fields
- Text Art
- Autosize text
- TrueType font flexibility
- SQL query builder

Upgrades for versions 5 and 6 to version 8 are available for a short period of time only, at www.labelview.co.uk, www.thelabeller.com or by calling 0845 222 0354
