The Real Da Vinci Code ? Da Vegan Code ?

April 28, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
It's alleged that Leonardo Da Vinci was a vegetarian. Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code soon to be released as a Hollywood blockbuster movie, goes one further and suggests he may have been part of a worldwide secret society.

One wonders what Da Vinci would have made of a message attributed to a member of the obscure Secret Society of Vegans.

In a vegan news blog it reads "In the fire that was the oxmoronic world of vegan Jehad there is a new wind. Sleeping beneath the foundations of the pillars of the knights of new world order lies an ancient power far beyond the comprehension of the new world order puppets. Ye who fears change shall fear deeper. Ye who comprehends shall taste sweeter regions. Open your eyes and ye shall see logic and reason beyond all manner of things."

The Message on the blog finishes with an seemingly innocent challenge.

"The Da Vegan Code awaits you - can you crack it?"

Founder of The Vegans Donald Watson said that mankind could not justifiably call itself civilised without first becoming Vegan.

Leonardo Da Vinci is often attributed with the quote "I have from an early age abjured the use of meat, and the time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look upon the murder of men."

Many others past and present have held up a vegan code as the meaning of life and a natural, progressive state of human evolution.

Millions of Christian vegetarians believe that Jesus was influenced by Vegan Essenes and that our Genisis state is to eat the fruit of trees and seed baring plants.

Certainly there is no doubt that millions of people around the world are aspiring towards a vegan code as a solution to global problems of ill health and environmental devastation.

Global corporations such as Nestle have been quick to spot the direction of the market for vegan food, buying up Vegan sausage makers Linda McCartney from Heinz and removing gelatine and animal fats from key products.

Premier Brands have bought both the controversial Fungi based vegetarian Quorn brand and UK Tofu company Cauldron.

Even McDonalds are veganizing their fayre and their UK fall back 'plan B' brand Pret a Manger have a full range of Vegan items from Sushi to Chocolate.

Perhaps the 'Da Vegan Code' has already been cracked?
