"It’s sure to be the hottest dance party in San Francisco," said SalsaCrazy.com president Evan Margolin. "It’s a fantastic way to meet people and learn to salsa in a fun and friendly environment."

SalsaCrazy.com is offering an hour of free lessons to anyone who does not know how to salsa. Lessons start at 8 p.m., and no partner is necessary.

The event will include stellar, hot performances by dance troupes preparing for the West Coast Salsa Congress happening later in May in Los Angeles.

"The West Coast Salsa Conference is a huge congress for salsa dancers from all over the country to perform, learn, dance and share their love of salsa" Margolin said. "The dance party is a great preview of the action from some of the best dancers in the area. They are coming here to perform for us before heading to the event in LA. It is sure to be a lot of fun for everyone."

The Canvas Art Gallery is at the corner of Ninth and Lincoln streets. The gallery features great art, rare and exotic sake and a full bar. Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets may be purchased online at http://www.canvasparty.com. Groups and parties are welcome.

"We love it when big groups of people come out to learn salsa together," Margolin said. "Salsa is a very social dance, and sometimes it helps people who are a little shy to be part of a big group of beginners. So bring all your friends and have a great evening, while learning something that is also super exercise and just a wonderful dance."

Margolin loves to share his passion for salsa dancing with people from the Bay Area and around the world. His SalsaCrazy.com (http://www.salsacrazy.com) website is a comprehensive source for salsa-related information in the Bay Area. His DanceSF (http://www.DanceSF.com) studio is the premier salsa dance studio in San Francisco, offering classes for all levels of dancers seven days a week. He also offers Learn to Salsa DVDs (http://www.salsadancedvd.com) or those who can’t make it to the Bay Area to learn from the masters.

"Everyone has a little bit of a salsa dancer in them," Margolin said. "Salsa is a sexy, exciting dance and dancing is a fantastic, liberating activity. Everyone can dance, and everyone should dance. It’s a great way to relieve stress and have fun, any day of the week."
