Control Solutions to host seminar offering cost-effective compliance solutions to IIA mandated external quality assessment reviews (QAR)

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standard 1300 requires Chief Audit Executives to develop and maintain a Quality Assurance and Improvement Program that includes ongoing and periodic internal quality assessments and an external quality assessment review (QAR) at least once every five years.

These assessments evaluate conformity with the IIA Standards, identify best practices and benchmarking opportunities, and determine whether the Internal Audit Department is effectively carrying out its mission. All external Quality Assessment’s must be performed by a knowledgeable, qualified, and independent outside party.

For many companies, the time for action is now, as the IIA has mandated that companies complete an external QAR by January 1, 2007.
