Pacific Artisans Launches Major Upgrade - Version 2.0

May 17, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
San Jose, CA (May 18, 2006) – Pacific Artisans .net (http://www.pacificartisans.net), the leading online commercial Community for Artisans and Artists announces the release of Version 2.0 of its website today.

Version 2.0 expands the interaction between the consumer and the Artisan and Artist Community by centralizing: Artisan bios and statements of work; expanding Forum features; providing sound clips about the Artisan and his/her Work; and, presenting video produced by the Artisan.

The central access point is a new graphic on the Website Homepage (http://www.pacificartisans.net) titled “Meet The Pacific Artisans Community”.

“We are extremely pleased with the growth and acceptance of Pacific Artisans,” said Elliott Dahan, CEO. “Inclusion in the Pacific Artisans Community is “by-invitation” and involves a very thorough evaluation process. Our growth is a wonderful affirmation in our belief that interaction and presentation are essential when placing highly creative Artisans and Artists in front of Consumers who want to know more than just price and a thumbnail picture.

“We’ve added individual Audio and Video for each Pacific Artisan. And, combined with their individual Forums, we’ve created the complete personal and interactive site for consumers to learn about the Artisans and their Work. In the coming weeks we will be presenting each Artisan’s audio and video. The presentation will be complete,” continued Dahan

Rose Hughes, renowned Quilter, Teacher, Lecturer and Author and a member of the Pacific Artisans Community said, “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share my recent explorations of color and light, shape and form with a wider audience through the medium of Pacific Artisans Community’s state-of-the-art communication process.”

Don Doerfler, San Diego based Artist and a member of the Pacific Artisans Community said, “People collect art for many reasons; one of the strongest is when there is a connection between artist and collector. Pacific Artisans not only understands that, it brings it to life.”

Visit with Don Doerfler and Rose Hughes and see their self produced Videos.
Pacific Artisans also adds a new revenue feature, The Pacific Artisans Commissions Referral Network, to the site. Here, Artisans and Artists interested in producing individual Commissions and Patrons interested in having Commissions created to their specific needs can meet. Through its dual registration and screening process, Pacific Artisans will bring together “the right fit”.

When asked about the immediate plans for Pacific Artisans, Mr. Dahan replied, “Growth. We will continue to grow our Artisan and Artist base, but that is a moderated process as joining the Pacific Artisans Community is “by invitation”. We will continue to make our Community features more robust, more interactive and more immediate. We will continue to grow but we have to be very judicious in our growth as crossing the line from Community to catalog would be disastrous.”
