Island Cruises launch new educational DVD

Island Cruises, the UK cruise holiday company have launched an educational DVD bursting full of information about their new cruise ship, Island Star, and sent it to 5,000 key travel agents and 20,000 top consumers.

Andy Furlong, Marketing Director for Island Cruises, ‘we felt the need to provide both agents and customers alike with an insight as to what the 4-star Island Star will look like and all the facilities onboard.

‘The DVD will prove to be an invaluable tool for agents when selling the Island Star as it also contains detailed information of all the itineraries available, along with background information. This is an exciting time for us here at Island Cruises and we hope the launch of this DVD will continue to drive support for our new ship.’

The DVD is easy to use and is split into 4 main sections on the main menu, ‘Relaxed, friendly & informal cruising’, ‘The Island Star’, ‘Itineraries’, and ‘Getting There’. When a section is selected just watch, listen and learn:

• ‘Relaxed, friendly & informal cruising’ - This provides background information about Island Cruises, both ships and general product overview. It is also a chance to meet our Captains, crew and customers.

• ‘The Island Star’ - This section takes you on an animated walk through the ship with narrative providing full detailed information, from restaurant opening times and menus through to where to find the gym or the perfect cocktail.

• ‘Itineraries’ - Select from the 9 itineraries available onboard the Island Star and be taken from port to port. The DVD provides everything agents should need to be able to sell the right itinerary to the right passenger.

• ‘Getting there’ - Island Cruise guests have a choice of 19 departure airports, across the UK & Ireland, to fly from to join our ships in Palma all which are listed out within this section.
