WPO Member Appointed President Of New York Electrical Contractors Association
Gina Addeo Receives Prestigious Appointment

NEW YORK – Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., president of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), has announced that Gina Addeo, president of GMA Electrical Corporation, and WPO member-at-large, has been appointed president of New York Electrical Contractors Association, the oldest and largest state association in the industry. This is the first time a woman has served in this position for this chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association.

“It is quite an honor to the WPO when our members reach new heights,” said Firestone.

About Gina Addeo:
Gina Addeo, president and owner of GMA Electrical Corporation, received her Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and was the first women in New York City to attain a Master Electrician’s License, making her knowledgeable in all aspects of electrical construction. She was awarded the National Electrical Contractors Association 1998 Leadership Award and is an active member of numerous industry associations, including National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), The Zenith Group, Professional Women in Construction (PWC), National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and Women in Business of Staten Island (WIB). She was also a member of the Contract Negotiating Committee for Local Union #3.
