Mysterious Resonances @ Nolita House

MANHATTAN, NY, On Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 7pm Nolita House will host a Wine and Music Workshop. We all know that wine and food can taste better if well matched, but environmental influences, such as music, play a role in how you enjoy wine as well. You all know that red goes with meat, but come and find out first hand which wine goes with rock & roll and Debussy!

Winemaker and teacher Clark Smith (WineSmith Wines) will lead the Wine and Music Workshop. He believes that we associate different wine types with different moods, just as we do with music. When the wine and the music match, both improve. Smith will demonstrate his research by pairing wines and music and polling audience preferences. “Wine resonates with its environment in ways we’re just beginning to understand,” says Smith. Participants will take away a deeper appreciation of wine’s nature as well as some new ways to have fun with wine and enhance its use. You will experience 7 different wines and a wide array of appetizers at $45 per person (tax and gratuity additional). Space is limited, so please call (212) 625-1712 to make your reservations.
