Learning Light gains insights from the HR Forum

May 28, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
As part of its strategy to understand the concerns of human resource (HR) directors – especially as they relate to using learning technologies (e-learning) to support organisational performance - Mark Pittaway, CEO of Learning Light (LL), a non-profit organisation, seeking to establish itself as a Centre of Excellence in the use of learning technologies in the workplace, attended Richmond Events’ HR Forum, held from 10th to 13th May.

Pittaway commented: “Attending the HR Forum provided an eye-opening insight into the pressures under which HR managers and directors operate as well as an insight into their needs, aims and objectives. Moreover, LL was able to enhance its contacts among members of the HR fraternity through this event.

“As a young fast growing organisation – LL is carrying out a wide range of research activities to discover the relative importance of key issues in the specification, purchase and deployment of e-learning within the corporate sector,” he continued. “The HR directors at this Forum provided an invaluable insight as we collect and interpret our research results.

“Through its various activities, LL will be seen as an authoritative source of best practice information to help HR directors in their search for ways of enhancing business performance through staff development,” he added.
