CENTERFIELD TECHNOLOGY ADDS E-MAIL NOTIFICATION TO disk/HUNTER

ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – June 10, 2006 (www.centerfieldtechnology.com) The popular IBM System i™ DASD monitoring tool from Centerfield Technology has been enhanced with an e-mail notification feature. Used by many large System i™ shops to detect and point to the root causes of unusually rapid disk consumption, disk/HUNTER has always by default sent a message to QSYSOPR whenever pre-set thresholds are reached, but now automatically sends both notification and diagnostic reports to designated contacts via e-mail.

“Although many of our customers in the past have used third party messaging software to provide notification, they have still needed to get to a green screen to view the reports,” says Centerfield Technology CTO Mark Holm. “Now they will automatically receive e-mailed reports of both spike occurrence and diagnostics.”

Centerfield’s disk/HUNTER successfully completed interoperability testing with IBM's System Storage products and has been confirmed as IBM System Storage Proven™. The IBM System Storage Proven™ program builds on IBM's already extensive interoperability efforts to develop and deliver products and solutions that work together with third party products.

The IBM System Storage Proven™ program supports the ability of independent hardware and software vendors to build high-quality solutions with the latest technology on leading storage platforms as well as reduce solution design time when multiple, tested building blocks have already been pre-tested.

Prices start at $3000 per System™ server. The new disk/HUNTER version will be shipped in June to all disk/HUNTER customers with current maintenance and support.
