June 14, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Shanghai, China - The China Supply Chain Council, a leading professional organization based in Shanghai, China, today announced a call for submissions for the second China Supply Chain & Logistics Awards.

The awards honor end-user companies, mostly manufacturers and retailers, whose deployments of specific supply chain programs, initiatives or systems have achieved positive bottom-line financial and business results in China.

Past winners include Singer, Accenture China, Sinotrans, Oracle China and Ikea Distribution that received the top Supply Chain Operational Excellence Award in 2005.

Categories, covering both cross-industry initiatives and industry sectors in China, include:
• Supply Chain Operational Excellence in China (Top Award)
• China's Supply Chain Executive of the Year
• Best 3PL Supply Chain Provider
• Best Supply Chain Consulting Partner in China
• Best IT Supply Chain Solution for China

Criteria for selecting winners will be the magnitude, importance and clarity of the benefit to your China operations arising from the project or activity submitted. Those benefits may be quantifiable (eg, cost savings or reduced lead times), strategic (eg, a specific supplier performance improvement that helps strategic goals) or indirect (eg, improved external perception of your firm or more skilled staff whose performance then drives your firm operations in China).

Projects, programs or initiatives must be ‘real and live’, running for at least several months in Mainland China with some ROI achieved. Plans, concepts, future projects and HK-based projects will not be accepted. Joint entries from organizations with their logistics, systems or consulting partners are welcome.

The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2006. Winners will be honored during a special awards gala dinner hosted by the China Supply Chain Council during China’s largest supply chain event, the CHaINA Summit, on November 9 in Shanghai, China.

If you or your organization would like to be considered for the awards, or if you would like to nominate your clients for the awards, visit the Council website today!
