(PRLEAP.COM) San francisco, California June 19th, 2006 - The Pillows to perform on Wednesday, June 28th at Slim’s for an action-packed evening of live music and entertaining radio show antics. The Pillows’ fan base grew out of their punk influenced soundtrack to the cult induced Anime FLCL (Furi Kuri). Nearly overnight they became an underground phenomenon thanks in much to their association with GAINAX. Now they are touring North America and Mexico promoting their new album "My Foot."

Supporting this evening are local bands Secret Secret, Nikita, and hailing from Los Angeles Lemon Drop Kick. Secret Secret puts on a very visual show with catchy pop flavored songs. They have a strong following in Japan, and a history of supporting Japanese bands in America. An avid fan of J-Rock Nikita has captured its essence in his own version of visual rock. Influenced by Japanese pop-punk Lemon Drop Kick adds a delightful charm to the night.

Shibuya Nights is the live production of eigoMANGA LLC. in association with Shibuya Radio. Founded in August 2000, eigoMANGA LLC. is an independent media and publishing company committed to developing and marketing original American "manga," or Japanese-influenced comic books and graphic novels. eigoMANGA LLC’s integrated media offerings include anime-themed television programming and anime-themed live events.
