Annual Adult Recreational Women’s Ice Hockey Camp Relocates to New Jersey

Franklin, Pennsylvania (July 10, 2006) – Weekend Warriors Adult Hockey Academy is hosting its annual Lady Warriors weekend camp August 3-6 2006, in Morristown, NJ this year. Mennen Sports Arena will host.

“This new location” says Rick Parisi, Weekend Warriors Adult Hockey Academy owner, “makes it an easy drive for anyone coming from New England or from the DC Metro area. Also,” he added, “the rink is just a quick 25 minute drive from Newark airport.”

Weekend Warriors Adult Hockey Academy is an extended weekend hockey camp for adults only. The Morristown location is this year’s women’s-only camp. The camp includes twelve hours of on-ice instruction, hot stoves, chalk talks, and social events including a “break-the-ice” social and a Saturday evening banquet.

“Women are encouraged to attend any of our camps,” said Parisi, “but the annual Lady Warriors camp is a favorite of some.” “It's the best” said Laurine, a three-time Lady Warrior weekend attendee from Bernardsville, NJ, “having a women's only camp was a great success.”

The coaches for the camps are collegiate level coaches. “Part of the reason people love these camps,” Parisi said, “is because these coaches love the game just as much as the players do. We’re all here because we’re passionate about hockey.”

The camp was started and is run by a skater just like the attendees of the camp. “I was never a pro, in fact, I didn’t start playing ice hockey until I was thirty,” says Parisi.
