HYATT Regency Montreal Awarded Silver!

(Montréal, July 7, 2006) – The jury at the 2006 Grands Prix du tourisme québécois (Quebec Tourism Awards) has awarded the HYATT Regency Montreal the silver grand prize in the “accommodations - 150 or more rooms” category.

Hyatt Regency Montreal General Manager, Joseph Khairallah, is delighted with this honour. “In the last 18 months, the hotel has undergone a complete facelift. We have invested more than 25 million dollars in renovations to bring the hotel up to HYATT standards. This prize is a fitting reward for our efforts to become the best hotel in our category. It is very important for us that the tourism industry has recognized the quality of our establishment.”

The HYATT Regency Montreal recently carried out a major program of renovations to the hotel’s 605 rooms and suites, the swimming pool and fitness room, as well as the public areas, restaurant, bar, and lobby. The Hyatt Regency Montreal meeting rooms that look out onto the patio were also revamped as part of a sweeping plan to improve the meeting and convention centre.
