The New York State Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is hosting the 3rd annual 'Drive to a CureTM' Golf Tournament & Reception on August 20th in Utica, NY. The event is the organization's major statewide fundraising event of the year.

The NYSPFF is currently accepting gift bag items, product samples, promotional items and prizes from companies across the globe. Items do not have to be golf related.

The event offers companies an excellent opportunity to showcase their products and services — free of charge.

Last year's event garnered substantial television, radio and print coverage. The event attracts people from across New York and neighboring states.

The NYSPFF targets the state's 550+ pulmonologists, plus respiratory therapists, pulmonary-related businesses, healthcare sales representatives, and pulmonary fibrosis sufferers and their families.

Last year's event received financial and in-kind support from health plans; medical practices; respiratory service companies; technology, automotive and construction industries; retail businesses; law firms; and individual funders.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a terminal disease killing over 40,000 people yearly — the same as breast cancer and more than AIDS, and prostate and cervical cancer. More than 200,000 people are stricken with the disease, and life expectancy is only three to five years.

The NYSPFF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to find the causes, and cure, for pulmonary fibrosis through funding clinical research efforts, public education and advocacy.
