July 14, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
Englewood, Colo. – Baxa Corporation, a Colorado manufacturer of medical devices for health-system pharmacies, was selected as one of ’50 Companies to Watch’ by Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry in its review of the medical device industry. Nominations for the recognition were solicited from MD&DI readers, its Editorial Advisory Board and Reader Board, and industry observers. The magazine chose companies with formidable track records or the potential for success, and technology breakthroughs or transformations of standards of care that its editors feel are worth monitoring. This is the first year that Baxa has won this designation.

Regarding the selection, Baxa Chairman and CEO Greg Baldwin notes, “We have a solid record of industry ‘firsts’ over our 31 years and continue to make improvements in pharmacy processes and patient safety that address customer needs.” That dedication to customer-based innovation has resulted in greater than 20% growth annually for the privately held Baxa Corporation. Its unique focus on fluid handling and pharmacy operations make Baxa the leader in its market niche and a company to watch for product innovation that results in patient benefits.

The MD&DI list celebrates the benefits that these 50 companies provide through life-saving technology and its influence on healthcare and best practice. Including small, medium and large companies from all different sectors of healthcare, the complete list is published in the June 2006 issue.
