Aussies appoint Leeds auditors

Adding to its recent success in the international arena, Leeds-based chartered accountancy firm RSM Robson Rhodes have been appointed auditors to Australian company, Vision Systems Limited.

RSM Robson Rhodes’ audit team will be working for the UK subsidiaries of Vision Systems, a top 200 ASX listed company in Australia, with a market capitalisation of Aus $340m.

The Vision Systems Group manufactures and markets automated instrument and biochemical reagents for biopsy-based detection of cancer and infectious diseases in pathology laboratories. They also undertake significant research and development primarily in the biomedical industry - its principal overseas operations are based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Andy Wood and Neil Maynard will lead RSM Robson Rhodes audit team, working closely with the Melbourne office of RSM Bird Cameron.

Commenting on the appointment, partner, Andy Wood said: “The panel were impressed by our pragmatic approach and the speed with which we got to grips with understanding their business needs. This is a great opportunity for us, we beat off stiff competition from three of the big four accountancy firms, and we’re looking forward to working with the Vision Systems team.”
