Aftermarket Automotive Parts Leader, JC Whitney Names New Leader

Chicago, IL–July, 2006–JC Whitney & Co., the world’s largest direct marketer of aftermarket auto parts and accessories, announced the appointment of Lawrence J. Marmon to President. “Larry Marmon brings us tremendous experience in direct marketing disciplines and strategic management,” said William Hobbs, JC Whitney’s CEO. “The experiences and challenges Larry has faced in his career will be a great asset as we work to continuously improve the position JC Whitney has in the auto parts and accessories marketplace.

Marmon joined the company in April 2005. He has more than 20 years of marketing experience through his association with Maintenance Warehouse, a division of Home Depot, and Time Warner. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“Throughout Larry’s career, he has consistently delivered assignments of increasingly complexity and scope. We feel very fortunate to have him with us,” added Hobbs. In his new role, Marmon will be responsible for all marketing and merchandising activities for JC Whitney’s 7 catalog titles, and 2 websites.
