COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS NAMES NEW CEO

(Cypress, TX)—- Deb Evans, president of COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS (CTCE), was today named the company’s CEO. Evans takes over the position from Art Coley, who will remain as Executive Vice President of Franchise Development for the International Center for Entrepreneurial Development (ICED), the parent company of CTCE where he will focus on franchise development for all of ICED’s brands and future acquisitions.

Evans began her career with CTCE in 1996 as a teacher and in 1997 she opened the first of two franchises in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In August 2004 Evans accepted a franchise support position with the company and moved to Texas after selling her CTCE franchises. Since January 2005 Deb has filled the role of president.

CTCE is the oldest, largest and fastest-growing home-based provider of computer technology education for children in the United States. In the year and a half since she became president, Evans has been instrumental in increasing system-wide revenue by 10 percent where the CTCE programs serve children from elite private schools to children who are enrolled in Head Start programs.

“Evans’ goals for the future include helping children gain access to the services CTCE provides in community centers and private and public schools”, says Bud Hadfield, chairman of ICED. “The only way children will obtain these services is to make entrepreneurs who value technology education aware of our proven system. In addition to helping children, they can realize their own financial goals.”

“I have been fascinated by CTCE’s potential since I became a teacher,” said Evans. “We’ve only scratched the surface in terms of programming possibilities, and because of the No Child Left Behind Act, more and more school systems are in need of our services. I’m looking forward to spearheading this growth.”

Since ICED acquired CTCE the system has expanded with growth to over 100 U.S. locations with operations in the UK, Canada, Australia and Guam to become the fastest growing children’s education franchise in the world.
