July 19, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
With emerging technologies, need for providing information to the widest range of users is becoming vital for success. The revolution in information technology has benefited millions of people to enhance their learning about new technologies. However, this revolution has not been of much benefit to people with disabilities using assistive technology.

ADA and Section 504 are at the forefront of the Federal laws governing accessibility in education. Universities and educational institutes need to adapt and provide an inclusive learning environment. Net Systems Informatics' new service “On-Demand Accessible Documents” caters to Electronic Publications, Multimedia and the Web. It targets educational content which is provided in various formats such as:

- Word Documents
- PowerPoint Presentations
- PDF Documents
- HTML Pages

They can convert documents into accessible format and ensure that the document is tested by a visually impaired person using a screen reader such as JAWS.
