South Shore Elder Services Offers Free Caregiving 101 Seminar on August 9th

A question and answer session will follow the seminar and attendees will have an opportunity to meet and talk with other caregivers.

The Family Caregiver Support Program within South Shore Elder Services agency is offering the Caregiver 101 Seminar as part of an initiative of the National Family Caregiver Program with support from the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.

Caregiving 101 is intended for all caregivers who are providing daily care to elders 60 years of age or older and for caregivers who are 60 years of age or older and who provide care for adult children with disabilities or who are legally responsible for the care of grandchildren. South Shore Elder Services’ Caregiving 101 provides specific information about resources, support services and programs available throughout the southeastern region.

Participants will receive the Caregiver 101 manual, a resource and care planning booklet, in addition to knowledge about successful strategies for managing elder care planning and family decision making.
