FAIRFAX, VA — Outermesh Technologies, a northern Virginia based wireless start-up, is building a services platform to digitize the paper-based coupon and loyalty marketing industries by using new innovative mobile and wireless technologies. "Our vision is to empower consumers, advertisers, property owners and retailers with the convenience and efficiencies of a mobile/wireless coupon system," said Jeff Kim its CEO. "We want people to be able to walk into a mall or plaza and know exactly what deals are going on, and then to be able to act on them.”

Outermesh's cofounders, Jeff Kim and Jean Meslie, are veterans of the wireless industry, with proven success building world-class wireless systems based on advanced Internet and mobile technology. Most recently they were with Sprint-Nextel where they were responsible for technology strategy and mobile convergence initiatives.

It is currently working with a few select alpha customers and partners to develop and refine the platform. The company expects to launch its first product in the fourth quarter of 2006.
