ABATE Region 4 and MDA Team Up to Save Lives

Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts throughout Lafayette will gather to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Sunday, August 6 will mark the 26th year for the ABATE Region 4 motorcycle ride to benefit the MDA.
Registration for the ABATE/MDA ride starts at 10 a.m. at Hooters in Lafayette. Hooters is located at 2327 Sagamore Parkway South. All motorcycle types and brands are welcome. This huge escorted “parade of bikes” will travel a predetermined 80-mile route leaving Hooters at noon.
The parade returns to Hooters for an afternoon of fun, food, vendors and entertainment from The Blue Streak Band.
Admission is a minimum donation of $20. For every $100 raised, the participant will be put into a drawing to win the state ABATE/MDA motorcycle. There will be no advance ticket sales. Entry includes activities and ride, free ticket, ride pin, T-shirt and

The sponsor, ABATE of Indiana is a motorcycle rights and safety organization. For over 20 years, they have raised more than $2,500,000 for MDA research and local patient service programs. Other major sponsors include Citgo and 7-up.
ABATE will also be featured on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. The telethon airs locally on WLFI News Channel 18 beginning Sunday, September 3 through Monday, September 4.
