New Website BandBuzzer.com Offers a Free Social Bookmarking Service for Music Bands, Allowing Users to Submit and Vote for Their Favorite Artists Online
July 28, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment NewsThe new website BandBuzzer is accessible for everyone at http://www.bandbuzzer.com/ and is the first online service to offer its users a free and easy social bookmarking service specifically for music bands and artists. A social bookmarking service relies on content submitted by the visitors of the site. In the case of BandBuzzer the users can submit their favorite bands and artists (or of course their own band) and afterwards vote on them. If a band receives enough votes by fans it gets promoted to the frontpage of bandbuzzer.com where only the top bands, ordered by votes users gave them, are listed and the most people can see them.
To use all the features of BandBuzzer, like the submission of new bands and the voting tool, a free and easy registration is required. The registration process will also grant users access to several other areas of the website, like the "Band Spy" that tracks all the actions happening on the website and thus giving users a live view of what other music fanatics are doing at the moment and which bands are hot right now. Another unique feature is the "Tag Cloud" page that orders all bands by tags - descriptive keywords associated with each of the artists. Beside that registered visitors can also interact with each other using the social functions of the site, for example by adding others to their "friends list", sending private messages to other users and commenting on their favorite bands.
"Over the last few months social bookmarking websites were launched in many different niches and areas. For music enthusiasts however a place to share their favorite bands and artists with other fans was still missing. The BandBuzzer website is our attempt to close this gap and offer such a service for everyone", Thomas Höfter, one of the creators of http://www.bandbuzzer.com/, said and invited all music fans and musicians to give the site a try.
