Defenselist (http://www.defenselist.com) has unveiled their new Global Defense Industry Directory.

With many of the current respected directories requiring prohibitively expensive subscription licenses to view their resources, the defense industry has been left with very little in the way of a publically-available resources. Enter Defenselist, which aims to provide the all the same resources, but at minimal expense to the listing company rather than the user.

"Over the coming months, we will be uploading content from our industry partners and other approved listings submitted to us by you. It is our aim to be the leading reference source for the industry information you need…quickly and on any web-enabled device in the world," suggests the Defenselist Editor-in-Chief, Brian Provost.

He further adds, "If you have compiled a resource worth having, the entities listed within it will pay you for the right to market to your viewership. Having said that, we are sure the dozens of guys who have shelled out thousands of dollars for an industry directory are very happy. But we are more concerned with the millions of others who will never find value within that system."

Basic Listings to the directory are $49.95 per year. Sponsored Listings are $99.95 per year, featuring prime positioning, traffic, and the ability to upload imagery. Currently, ".mil" and ".gov" domain named entities are able to list for free and it is Defenselist's goal to maintain that service.

A key benefit to listing companies is that the Directory is search engine optimized. Defenselist is borne of Scoreboard Media Group (http://www.scoreboard-media.com) of San Antonio, TX, a leading search engine marketing firm.

"Merging defense industry experience with search engine marketing expertise really sets us apart for our advertisers and listing companies," says Provost. "We were already seeing category dominance in early testing of our directory system on Google, Yahoo, and MSN Search. It was uncanny as the project was barely three weeks old!"

Additional features coming soon include Think Tank Discussion forums for coverage on global and regional issues. Further build-out of the Directory is also being implemented for The Intelligence Community Directory, Directory of Defense and Military Academic Institutions, Directory of the World's Armed Forces, Directory of the World's Goverments, and the Homeland Security Directory.
