Hard work translates into awards for Applied Language

July 27, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
All the staff at Applied Language Solutions have been celebrating all month long. The UK based translation company has been lucky enough to win not one but two major awards plus they have gained a significant quality standard.

The months started when the company won the HSBC Start-up Stars Award for the northern region of the UK. Gavin Wheeldon the Managing Director has been awarded the Credit Suisse Entrepreneur of the Year for the North East and the company has been awarded DIN accreditation for it’s translation services.

When asked to comment he said “This is an amazing feat for a company only 3 years old. Only a year ago we only had 11 employees now we have over 40 spread over 4 offices. These awards are a testament to the hard work and enthusiasm of all the staff.”

All the team at Applied Language are keeping their fingers crossed that later in the year these regional awards will translate, sorry for the pun, into national awards.

The awarding of the DIN accreditation, the only official accreditation for translation available, also means that Applied Language continue to build on their quality procedures. They already have ISO9001 and Investors in People.

Applied Language Solutions translate all kinds of documents from simple letters to large technical documents for specialist Medical, Legal, Financial and Marketing organisations, including whole websites and printed catalogues.

They use only professional in-country translators and have over 5,000 on their books. These translators work in over 140 languages including all the major European, Asian, African, Middle Eastern and American languages.
