Boston — Homeowners can now sell their own home without paying a listing agent
a commission, and still receive all the benefits of listing their house for sale on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) without using an agent.

Real estate property values have been declining. People who purchased in the past few years are finding there is just not enough equity to cover all the costs associated with selling through a traditional listing agent.

"My service at automatically cuts out the
listing side of the commission. We list the property on the MLS and provide the online exposure, and the sellers show and sell the property themselves," explained Andrew Hillman, owner of the new service.

Hillman's company, Hillman Real Estate Inc. / offers a flat rate of $325 to list real estate on the MLS for Massachusetts and most of New England.

"My service allows sellers to maintain their 'for sale by owner' status, but also provides them with the online marketing exposure that only a licensed real estate broker can provide. For a flat fee, seller's get a fully maintained listing on MLS, a showcased listing on and a premier listing on until sold. The listing is also published on thousands of affiliated real estate search sites," said Hillman.

MLS Entry Only is a new type of MLS listing recently introduced by the National Association of Realtors and the Multiple Listing Service Property Information Network. This new type of listing allows a real estate broker to create a simple working relationship with a seller, who maintains the right to sell by owner while the broker maintains the listing. The listing service provided by Hillman includes listing on thousands of real estate related sites and the most popular real estate web sites, and

"Your chances of selling are greatly increased when we list your home through all of our partner sites. More home searches are done through these two sites than any other site
on the Internet, which is why we created a partnership with them. They compliment our flat fee listing service by giving our For Sale by Owners the local and national exposure needed to sell in today's buyer's market without a listing agent being involved," said Hillman.

Hillman's new web site provides all customers with a free comparative market analysis report to help sellers determine the market value of their home. Customers also receive all the necessary legal forms for each transaction at no charge.

The MLS listing also provides up to 30 photos to illustrate the home for sale, and a professional color listing that sellers can display and present to prospective buyers who come to see the home.
