POMONA, CA. – August 3, 2006 – Auto-Graphics, Inc. (AUGR.PK), a technology innovator providing library automation solutions for over 35 years, today announced that the Verona Public Library in New Jersey has selected AGent VERSOTM as its integrated library system. The library will upgrade from Polaris’ Galaxy system to AGent VERSO which offers a single, comprehensive staff interface, seamless integration across ILL and search products combined with an intuitive, easy to use OPAC.

After making a significant investment in IT infrastructure, the Verona public library made the decision to move the databases in-house and operate their ILS system as a license. After evaluating several ILS providers offering licensed systems able to support its recent technological advancements, the Verona Public Library chose the standards-based AGent VERSO. While many systems relegate web capability to the OPAC, AGent VERSO provides 100% of all functionality via web-based modules allowing patrons to more seamlessly participate in and benefit from state-wide New Jersey resource sharing and portal initiatives.

“We were very pleased with Auto-Graphics’ ability to run smoothly on our new 64 bit server and technology enhancements, we had a lot of requirements and the AGent platform was able to meet us every step of the way,” said Jim Thomas, director of the Verona Library. “Furthermore, we had great confidence in Auto-Graphics’ ability to deliver a quality project based on our current use of their ILL and federated search portal which the State of New Jersey has branded JerseyCLICKS and JerseyCAT.”

“We are excited to have the opportunity to offer AGent VERSO to the Verona library in New Jersey,” said Paul Cope, president of Auto-Graphics. “We look forward to providing an automation system through the AGentTM integrated platform that meets their technical requirements and will ultimately help the Verona library better serve its patrons.”
