Mi-Co to Announce New Mobile Data Capture Solutions at HIMSS

February 13, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
Research Triangle Park, NC. February 10, 2005. Mi-Co, the mobile data capture company, announced today that the company’s participation in the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition will include announcements of two Data Capture Solutions focused on different segments of the healthcare market.

“During our first two years as a software company, “said James Clary, Mi-Co CEO, “working with our customers, Mi-Co developed an extensive set of tools and services that our staff used to implement robust mobile data capture applications. During the past three years, the Mi-Co product line has matured to the point where our customers are now licensing our products and implementing the Mi-Forms System on their own. Now, Mi-Co technology has taken a major leap forward because the Mi-Forms System integrates with [not within] the Microsoft .Net framework. With Mi-Forms’ support of .NET languages and integration with .NET web services, this version of Mi-Forms represents the market's richest enterprise mobile data capture solutions platform.”

Clary went on to state that the solutions to be unveiled at HIMSS in Dallas on February 14, 2005 will be the first in a series of solutions that will be launched by Mi-Co and selected Mi-Co partners.

Hugh Patrick Mi-Co’s National Sales Director is a driving force in the planning and development of the company’s healthcare solutions. Patrick has co-founded two successful software companies, the most recent being ProviderLink, Inc., an ASP company that provides a secure, HIPAA compliant communication service to the healthcare industry.

”At Mi-Co,” said Patrick, “selected customers have told us that they want mobile data capture applications that provide integrated solutions that meet their specific needs. These solutions are designed to do just that.”

The solutions announced at HIMSS will be generally available with the 2005 Q2 release of Mi-Forms Version 5. Several Mi-Forms Alliance partners are now architecting solutions using the Microsoft .NET based development framework of the Mi-Forms 5 release.

Mi-Co selected HIMSS as the announcement venue because of the 20,000 medical professionals and 600 exhibitors that will be in Dallas during the week of February 14-18, 2005. General availability for these Mi-Co solutions is targeted for Mi-Co User Days on May 10 – May 11, 2005 in the Research Triangle Park.
