Lainie P. Martin, M.D., Joins Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Department of Medical Oncology

PHILADELPHIA (August 11, 2006) - Lainie P. Martin, M.D., has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center’s medical oncology department as an attending physician. Dr. Martin’s clinical interests include ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancers and investigative therapy.

Dr. Martin recently completed a Fox Chase/Temple University fellowship in hematology-oncology. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her M.D. at Temple University School of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Martin completed her residency in internal medicine at Boston University Medical Center in 2002.
Martin is a past recipient of the St.

George Memorial Cancer Society Fellowship grant to participate in an eight-week clinical fellowship in hematology and oncology and served as treasurer for the society. She was also a teaching associate in medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Martin is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and American Medical Women’s Association.
