Reseda, CA, August 15, 2006— Remember dreading going to camp with hundreds of kids and being forced to run relay races? Not at this camp, Lewis Carroll Academy kicked off its first month of summer camp with great success. While the school prides itself in academic excellence, the camp philosophy is pure fun. LCA offers a unique approach to traditional summer day camps. Each week of the camp has a specific theme such as “Movie Star week and “International” week.

The camper’s day is filled with activities and a very low counselor to camper ratio. This is an all inclusive camp where the fee includes all field trips and all meals. The campers are broken down by age where the teenagers spend an action packed summer filled with daily field trips the younger campers average two field trips a week.

Camp Supervisor, Rebecca Saffron known as “Sporty” to the campers says , “ At Camp LCA your child will have a blast this summer experiencing all the traditional camp activities combined with exciting field trips. For kids, summertime means ‘camp’ and at Camp LCA ‘camp” means exciting activities, fun field trips, new friendships, and lots of camp spirit.” Campers at LCA are excited for Monday to roll around and working mothers are excited as their children are actually having a vacation while they can still work.

Camper, Meagan, age 7 explained. “I love how the teachers all have nicknames like Kermit, Blondie, and Sporty. They make they camp so much fun. I also love all the field trips.” Another camper, Alex, age 5 put it quite simply, “I like everything about the camp, and everything is special.”
