Announcing a New Executive Director and a New President of The Institute for Environmental Solutions

(Denver, Colorado) - The Institute for Environmental Solutions (IES), a new 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Denver, Colorado, announced the appointment of Carol E. Lyons as the new Executive Director and the election of Robert E. Brady, Jr. as the new President of the Board. IES is dedicated to addressing complex environmental challenges, advancing objective, integrated solutions to the region's most pressing environmental concerns, such as air and water quality and pollution control.

Ms. Lyons, founding President of IES, earned a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and has over 30 years experience in the environmental field. Carol is active in many professional organizations, and is the President of Bridges Unlimited LLC, engineering and environmental consulting firm.

Robert E. Brady, Jr. recently retired from a 33-year career with Coors Brewing Company. At Coors he held many positions, including Principal Environmental Scientist and Energy Manager. Bob is a the Chair of the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission

IES is an independent non-profit organization delivering proactive technically sound solutions to complex environmental and natural resource problems ­ without unwanted side effects. Two current IES projects include the Tree Project - Integrated Urban Environmental Improvement Through Tree Selection and Management, and Emerging Contaminants in Wastewater - Personal Care Products and Pharmaceuticals. The goal of the Tree Project is to identify how trees can be used to optimize energy and water conservation, and air quality.
