Nashville, TN - If you think Phil Keaggy has done everything that can be done on a guitar, think again! Roundabout might be Keaggy's most astonishing instrumental recording ever. On the project, releasing November 7, 2006 on TAG Artist Group, Keaggy adds a new twist to the art of guitar playing with his mastery of live electronic 'looping,' which allows him to combine the sounds of multiple guitar parts, using only one acoustic guitar, to create a cool indie-vibe that you definitely don't want to miss. All of these memorable and orchestral compositions blend both art and technology, which causes the listener to experience the twin emotions of joy and amazement. Brought to you by one of the world's and Christian music's most beloved master musicians, with accolades too numerous to mention, Roundabout combines the Creator…with His creation.

A genre-defying 18-track project that fuses elements of rock, blues and jazz, Roundabout is the culmination of Keaggy's nearly 30-year love affair with looping technology. "I started playing with delay machines and early looping devices in the late 1970's," Keaggy says. "Chet Atkins introduced me to The Lexicon Jamman around 1994 when I was beginning to do more lengthy loops. I used both the old Jamman, the Line 6 DL4 and the Roland Loop Station on Roundabout."

"Roundabout is all about creative and playful improvisation. There were no overdubs after initial recording or during editing in the studio," Keaggy adds. "All parts on each track were recorded then and there. It just shows how far one can go with an acoustic guitar with the aid of some looping machines and effects processors."

Roundabout proves once again why Phil Keaggy is one of the most admired and beloved musicians on the planet. This innovative new instrumental album is sparking interest from print, television and radio on both sides of the Atlantic from Christian and mainstream media alike.

Keaggy's solo career has spanned more than 30 years and has included close to 50 solo albums, both vocal and instrumental, as well as eight releases with his highly acclaimed band Glass Harp. His music has been honored with seven Dove Awards and a Grammy nomination. He continues to sell out concerts all over the US with his ever-changing style, ranging from rock 'n' roll to fully orchestrated instrumental compositions. His fans range from those who aspire just to be able to play Keaggy's mistakes to professional guitarists who have been strongly influenced by his style. And in between are those who don't play guitar, yet find solace in his beautifully penned lyrics and memorable melodies.

Roundabout is available on and distributed through TAG Artist Group. Formed in 2004 by industry veteran Dan Huisinga, TAG Artist Group offers a home to new and established artists who are ministering on a national level and have the ability to commit to national marketing.
