(PRLEAP.COM) In a bold move that will surely shake up the booking engine market, Sentias Software Corp. announces that it will be providing a free version of its Booking Server hosted booking engine application.

Since its Beta release in March 2006, the Sentias Booking Server has attracted over eighty four companies from thirty four countries around the world. The primary goal of providing the free version of the system is to attract tour operators who may otherwise not use a web solution or are unsure about the effectiveness of the Sentias Booking Server. The secondary goal of the free version is to increase the amount of available inventory in the system. The more companies and products that are in the system, the more powerful the system becomes. The decision to provide a free version came after a four month beta period and an analysis of how and why companies signed up for the service. "Sentias is dedicated to providing solutions that are sensitive to business." says Stephen Joyce, President of Sentias "Most business people don’t just sign up for a booking engine and immediately use it as the basis of their tour or accommodation business. They need to build trust in the application and with the company behind the application. They need time to become familiar with the various features and to find the best fit. Companies interested in trying the Sentias Booking Server can sign up for a thirty day full featured free trial. Once the thirty day trial period ends, the account reverts to the free version which supports some but not all of the features of the Booking Server. Companies using the free version can upload travel product information, descriptions, company information and more but will not be able to manage availability or bookings online. Other free version features include a co-branded mini-website which includes "introduction", "about us", and "terms of use" pages, distribution of inventory through the Booking Server GDS, and inclusion in regional and international tourism directories.

All companies that provide travel and tourism products or services are encourage to sign-up and use the service. The free version of the Booking Server will be available starting September 1st, 2006. All companies currently using the service but who have not subscribed for a premium account will automatically switch to a free account on September 1st, 2006.
