ID Development received order for the Slovenian ePassport

Oberwil, Switzerland (August, 23, 2006). ID Development announced today that it will provide data capturing software technology for electronic passports for Slovenia.

ID Development AG will supply their photograph enhancement tool Pic2Pass to Cetis, Slovenia's security document printer and prime contractor for the Slovenian ePassport. Pic2Pass includes a unique technology that makes passport pictures suitable to the ICAO guidelines. The technology for the data capturing software includes the size optimizing, Eye-distance module as well as the innovative ID Development background removal algorithm.

Pic2Pass is an innovative module out of ID Developments data-capturing solution eCapture. The modular concept and the flexible design support allow ID Development to offer the complete data capturing process, from passport picture scan, fingerprint and signature to complete LDS compliant personalization. The concept also allows offering the customer single modules based on .NET Framework. Another unique feature is the absolute independency from any hardware and technology providers.
