BUSHWHACKERS Keep Whacking the Bush

August 25, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
For Immediate Release-St. Augustine, Fl.
based songwriter/guitarist Rick Levy has spent the last six years listening to President George Bush. He finally snapped and wrote a song…then wrote more songs. Directed at No. 1 good ol boy himself, George Dubya, The BUSHWHACKERS is the twisted brainchild of Levy, and a real paradox. This music on the EP.."Beatin Round the Bush"(Luxury/Lightyear/distributed by WEA) is pure country, which is traditionally associated with conservative more right wing politics, but the lyrics are exactly the opposite. It's a funny yet potent mix.
Nashville guru, Robert Oermann, says of the single "He Swapped the Bottle for the Bible"..this anti Bush ditty suggestes that if Georgie kept on getting plastered, maybe the world would be a better place today. WEll produced and catchy."
BUSHWHACKERS.."Beatin Round the Bush" will ruffle conservative feathers cause the truth hurts..even in a beer swillin, knee slappin kinda way.

Levy also is musical director for 60's pop legends Tommy Roe and Jay & Techniques, and manages the BoxTops. He was former bandleader for Herman's Hermits.
