When asked how they feel about going to the opticians most people shrug their shoulders and sigh. And who can blame them? After all, having your eyes tested isn’t the most exciting thing in the world, or is it?

Stephen Isaacs believes in 'seeing things differently' and runs an optical practice with a difference.

“Our aim is to make a visit to the optician as exciting and rewarding as any shopping trip in London’s West End”.

The success of the 20/20 Optical Store suggests that he may have actually achieved this. The company controls 1% of the UK’s contact lens market and turns over £7 million a year. It was set up in the 1980s and has over 100,000 satisfied customers.

So what’s 20/20’s secret?

“It’s simple really”, says Isaacs, “'we provide 20/20 vision, happy healthy eyes, efficient service, communication and funky but affordable options'.

20/20 Optical Store is living up to this mission. Service is efficient and friendly, prices are affordable and the company boasts the largest selection of frames in one optician in the whole of London, and possibly in Europe.

It’s also very funky. Set in the heart of London's West End it is a modern open plan store with a design reminiscent of Hockney and Warhol. Plus there’s a nail bar just inside the door, a café at the back and live music to relax the happy customers.
