Workhaven launches Candidate Quick Search

LONDON England -Thursday 14 September 2006- Workhaven, the popular international recruitment website has launched its Candidate Quick Search facility conforming to the A9 Open Search standard.

Unlike most recruitment facilities, Workhaven does not accept job advertisements but allows employers to set up on-line dialogues with potential candidates and in effect head hunt them. The facility is free to candidates and paid for by employers.

Previously, employers wishing to search Workhaven's candidate database have had to register with Workhaven and then carry out the search via Workhaven's advanced employer console.

To provide employers with quicker access to the database, Workhaven has now made a candidate 'Quick Search' facility available from the Workhaven home page. Quick Search, conforms to the A9 Open Search standard. Consequently, it may be installed as a search option within Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7's instant search box.

Said Bruce Medhurst, Workhaven CIO, "An increasing number of our clients are migrating to IE 7 despite it still being in beta. Many have expressed a desire to be able to carry out candidate searches via IE 7's instant search box, mainly because of the convenience factor. In response we've released the candidate 'Quick Search' facility. If you browse to our home page with IE 7 you will see that the Workhaven candidate 'Quick Search' becomes immediately available and may be installed as a permanent IE 7 quick search option. Anyone without IE 7 can access it direct from our home page. Besides being more convenient to employers, we believe this facility will also increase the exposure of our candidates to potential employers which can only be a good thing".
