NEW YORK- On August 17th, R&B sensation J-Shin debuted his highly anticipated music video for his new single “Send Me an Email” which features T-Pain and MySpace queen Tila Tequila on Yahoo! Music and YouTube.com. The video is currently the #1 most viewed music video this month, receiving an astonishing 1.1 million downloads, and securing more downloads than Beyonce’s “Ring the Alarm” on its debut date. Yahoo! Music downloads reached 200,000 downloads within the first 2 weeks of the debut. Previous internet video release from J-Shin’s label SouthBeat Records resulted in over 2 million downloads in 48 hours on Youtube.com for the Mayday! Video “Groundhog Day” featuring Cee-lo and DJ Craze.

“SouthBeat is extremely pleased with the success of the J-Shin video. The only reason why it did not achieve the same numbers as “Groundhog Day” is because YouTube.com changed it’s tracking from “hits” to “unique” page views,” says SouthBeat CEO and President Gregory Frankel.

J-Shin is best known for his 1999 single “One Night Stand” featuring Latosha Scott, which sold over 400,000 copies. J-Shin’s sophomore album “All I Got is Love” promises to be explosive – with a perfect blend of urban R&B capturing real life portrayals of love, struggles and triumph and an updated Rhythmic sound guided by 2006 BMI’s Songwriter of the Year and Executive Producer Jim Jonsin who has produced hits such as “Unpredictable” Jamie Foxx, and “Grind on Me” Pretty Ricky. The album will be distributed through ADA and features Smitty, T-Pain and label mates Tampa Tony and Shonie.

SouthBeat Records’ internet video efforts have recently been featured on the front page of the New York Times Arts & Entertainment section (May 18, 2006), Billboard Magazine (August 11, 2006) and will soon be included in an upcoming E! True Hollywood Story Investigates piece slated to air in October.

J-Shin is currently on a promo tour throughout the United States to promote his upcoming album release. “Send Me an Email” has also been receiving strong regional radio support, as well as maintaining upwards of 185 spins on 37 national stations.
